ARTEXHIBITION [&] TECHNOID SOUNDS

The STATE OF MIND event series presents ART and MUSIC separately and simultaneously as a fusion - without denying the value of either form of presentation.

We offer emerging and established artists the opportunity to present large-scale, experimental and individual works, installations and sculptures in impressive venues. For each exhibition series, we curate a high-profile, danceable DJ lineup featuring technoid sounds from renowned musicians.

STRUCTURES. TEXTURES. EMOTIONS.

Frustration. Pleasure. Resignation. Hope. Fear. Euphoria. Longing.
The list of emotions we have had to deal with in the past year is long - perhaps even already forgotten or repressed, but still current.

What does my environment trigger in me? My social contacts, the society that surrounds me - every single detail. What projections do I encounter?

With various light, video, sound and photo installations, STATE OF MIND is an invitation to pause, to become aware, in the here and now.

What does STATE OF MIND mean and what is my current state of mind?

What generates the seen and the heard?

The venue for the opening exhibition is the impressive and historic cellar vaults of the Musikbrauerei Berlin. Known in the 1920s as the "fairy garden establishment" for wild parties and wicked nights, the building served as a refuge and protective bunker during the war. In the GDR, the vastness and seclusion of the complex was used as a Stasi listening station.

We are always looking for very special locations with that certain something, in which the artistic works unfold symbiotically. The focus is to bring out the individual charm of each venue in harmony with the presented artworks.

STATE OF MIND ENCOURAGES DEVOTION TO ART.
